Hakgala Botanical Garden

The Hakgala Botanical Gardens established in 1861 is situated 16 kilometres outside the Nuwara Eliya town and just 5 minutes from the hotel. It was originally established for the cultivation of medicinal crops, later turned into a tea plantation and today a botanical garden famed for its flora, especially its roses and orchids! It is also closely associated with the epic Ramayana of Indian fame.

Victoria Park

This colourfully laid out park spanning 27 acres was named ‘Queen Victoria Park’ to commemorate the 60th Jubilee Coronation of Queen Victoria in 1897. Seetha Amman Temple

It is believed to the exact spot where King Ravana of Lanka held Sita of Ramayana fame captive.
